2. Educational purpose only
Lumi is designed for learning support, study motivation, tutoring assistance, practice, exams, curated curriculums, and learning feedback.
Lumi is not designed to provide medical, mental health, legal, financial, family, relationship, emergency, safety, law enforcement, or crisis advice.
You should not rely on Lumi to make sensitive or high-risk decisions, including decisions about health, self-harm, violence, personal safety, family conflict, legal issues, whether to contact police, whether to contact authorities, or whether to seek emergency help.
If you may be in danger, someone else may be in danger, or you need urgent help, you should contact local emergency services, a trusted adult, school staff, a medical professional, law enforcement, or another qualified person.
Lumi does not monitor users as an emergency service and has no obligation to identify, report, escalate, or respond to emergencies or safety risks, except where required by applicable law.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Lumi is not responsible for harm resulting from using Lumi outside its intended educational purpose or from relying on Lumi for sensitive, emergency, health, legal, safety, family, or crisis decisions.
3. Who may use Lumi
Lumi is designed mainly for students in Grade 9 and above, as well as older learners.

4. Your account
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login information secure.
You must provide accurate account information and must not use another person’s account without permission.

5. Your content and learning activity
You keep ownership of the content you submit to Lumi.
You give Lumi permission to collect, host, store, process, review, analyze, use, and create derived data from your content and learning activity to provide, protect, personalize, improve, test, evaluate, train, and develop Lumi.
This includes chat messages, voice input, audio, transcripts, uploaded images, written canvas work, answers, submissions, exam performance, scores, timing, mistakes, corrections, curriculum progress, leaderboard activity, and product interactions.
Lumi may continue to use anonymized, aggregated, or de-identified information that no longer identifies you.
6. AI improvement
Lumi may use learning content and activity to train, fine-tune, evaluate, and improve Lumi’s AI systems.
Some plans may include additional privacy controls, such as the ability to opt out of certain AI training uses in account settings.
These controls do not prevent Lumi from processing information where needed to provide the service, personalize the user experience, maintain safety, prevent abuse, debug issues, comply with law, and operate Lumi.
7. Leaderboards
Lumi may offer national, regional, or other leaderboard features.
Leaderboards may use approximate location, such as country or region, and may display generated usernames instead of real names or email addresses.
